ASF Burner
Updates The web site is under way. Now that the creation of the program
is finished, I will now start to distribute it over the Internet.
Let me apologize for the length of this page. I would break into separate
pages but I figure it will be the best so you can see everything this
program has to offer you. I am under a time limit and need to
be at school tomorrow morning! So, I'm sorry for any errors
on this page. They will be corrected ASAP.
ASF Burner Release Notes
This program is not illegal in any way. However, Microsoft will
feel negative about this program because of its capabilities to
download streaming media so, be sure not to download Copyrighted
materiel. If you download copywrited material, you will be
acting in an illegal way. I am not responsible for how
you use this program. Your feedback is essential to
the success of this program. If you have problems with ASF Burner

ASF Burner Information
This program will allow you to save high quality streaming media
on your hard drive. The cracker of the streaming media format
is not known. That code will be available to download here.
The code will be given as is. The source code is not
perfect but it does the job. It can be improved! I created this
program with VC++ and Dev C++. This program was tested on Windows
95 and ME. Windows 95 users and down will need to download and upgrade
from Microsoft's web Site
ASF Burner supports many media types. Avi, Mov,
Wav, ASF, WMV, WMA, ASX, MP3, MP2, mpeg, and many other media
types. The video content is Direct show compatible. As seen
to the right. This video screen as re-size-able and lets
you control how the video looks. It is a separate windows app.,
however it is linked to the player and recorders how you re-sized
the video screen and remembers it so next time you open that
file it automatically goes the the settings you set for it.

The great thing about this program is that you can
download high quality media content on a slower modem. This means
better video / audio. This program also supports resuming of failed
downloads in the past. Do this by interring the URL of the failed
stream and save it over the original file. That's it! It will take
off from where you left off! Also this program supports ASX (media
play lists) This allows you to download every media content on said
list. Or just download the first file on the list. THIS PROGRAM
DOES NOT SUPPORT REALTIME FILES! .Ram However I will be
working on a program that will allow you to download this media
type later. So look for that!
Supported Platforms.
This program is supported by all platforms however some platforms
will need to download some upgrades to support this program. So
it is important you download the right package to insure it will
work correctly.
Bugs
So far there is only one bug that I know of. And That is
at the end of the movie when it stops play is in active mode. But
when you hit play it say reply complete. But its not. You have to
Drag the location bar over to the beginning. Sorry. Small price
to pay for being able to save streaming media. I fyou find any more
bugs report them here.
How do you get the video's URL?
Simple, all you have to do is right click on the link and go to
copy shortcut! Test it out here. Example
How do you get an embedded video's URL?
Embed videos are a little bit harder to get
then videos link by text or images. What you do is view the
source of the web page that contains the video. Hold Down
Ctrl f then search for ".ASF". It will show you the URL of
the media. Then all you do is copy the whole URL and insert
it. Here is an example Try to get the URL from the embedded
video to the side.
What is the ASX settings for?
ASX is a list that contains more than one media file. This options
lets you download all the media files in the list and or download
the first file in the list. Turn On ASX if you would like to download
all the files in the list. Turn off ASX if you only want to download
the first file on the list. Simple Yes?
How to resume a broken download.
If you get kicked off line and you don't fish your download, not
to worry. This program supports resuming of broken files. All you
have to do is reinsert the URL of the video and when ASFB asks you
where to save simply select the incomplete media file and save.
It will take off from where you left off.

How was
this program made
This Program was created on Windows 95, Tested on 95, and Me. Sorry
if there are any problems with other platforms. Contact me if
there is. This program was built with Dev C ++ and VC++. This
was on of my first large programs and took me about 3 months to make.
Yes this is a long time for a program but I had some troubles compiling
this certain program. This program has a few small problems with windows
me but only with display.

This is one of my first programs I have made. I've always have been
a computer nerd. I still am learning programming but in my first few
months I made this great tool! I didn't write all of the code. The
STP I got from ASF Recorder. And then I created my own layout and
I like it very much! So I hope you all love it and keep it in the
flow.
HELP NEEDED!
I am looking for help on updates of this and other programs! I wish
to find help with making an embedded video box and the player and
many other features! All this work is to much work for one man so
if there are any programers out there that would like to join the
team just send me an e-mail! Also I will be working on other tools
for streaming media and such. Like Tools that save REALTIME streaming
files and a few types of editors and what not! But the more help
I can get the more we can change the media industry. SO Please contact
me if you are able to help or if you have a few good links on something
that might help me!
